For a short time I thought about the things I should not write about. The subjects were perhaps too mundane, too banal. But, it is in the details of daily habits that a life comes into focus.
On this blog you may read quite a bit about chutneys and potatoes and tea with scones. That is the kind of food I like to cook. These are things that remind me of people near by and a continent away whom I love. This blog is a direct reflection of that.
I write about what I cook and the experiences that unfold through the process. I’ll write about other things like my love for chickpeas, Julia Child, classic French cooking, and pasta. There will be an abundance to write about pasta and potatoes, sometimes both at the same time. Fair warning.
There will be talk if wine with food, without, on location, and out of town.
